I Would Describe Myself As

I am a retired teacher who is now working as a free lance textile artist. I love anything that has to do with water! I sometimes think I’m a mermaid living on land! I love to travel. I’ve walked on all 7 continents and yes, there are still places that I want to visit and explore. I’m comfortable at formal events as well as rooting for the hometown sports games. I love theater, movies, museums. I recently tried “forest bathing” walking quietly along a forest path. I am a writer, mostly poetry. In fact I am trying to put my poems together to try and get them published.
Last summer I learned to sail and discovered that I really like it and I am super good at trimming the sails! Kayaking is on my list for next summer. My skiing days are over. I enjoy the clear clean crisp air of winter. Making snow people are fun but I’d rather have a picnic in front of a roaring fire while watching the flakes swirl to the ground. I’m looking for my Prince Charming. He can be a bit rusty and tarnished having lived a good life. Does that sound like you?
