Family and friends describe me as optimistic. Day to day I feel better than I have in the last five years. I'm active, independent and optimistic, tempered by experience and human nature. I don't smoke, very rarely drink. I love dogs and cats and have them both. I love reading, mostly history. I haven't watched TV in a long time. Cooking has become a surprisingly enjoyable retirement activity. Travel is not a passion. Anger is pretty much foreign to me.
Politically I'm pretty liberal. I'm also an atheist. I view the world more in shades of grey than black and white.
Due to many factors, fanciness and exclusivity have lost much of their appeal. Now many of the experiences that I have sought in the past don't thrill me so much anymore. Perhaps it's because I define "special" a bit differently now.
