My name is Claude Esben Lee Jr. I am 80 years old at the time of this writing (2016).
In this book, I write about my life. For years I have written and documented different happenings to me and my family. I try to bring those snippets into the book organized so it makes for a logical easy read.
I graduated from Sylvan High School in Snow Camp, NC in 1953 at 17 and went to NC State college. At 19 went to the AF Academy in Denver. At 21 returned to NC State and graduated in 1960. At 25 joined the Navy to Fly Jets off carriers. At 29 got out of the Navy in Virginia, drove to Sunnyvale, CA. At 30 Got into computers as a career for 35years, Programmer, DP manager, last 15years sold computers worldwide. Got married at 38. During marriage lived in Palo Alto, CA, Portola Valley, CA, Saudi Arabia, American Samoa, Phoenix, AZ, Raleigh, NC, Morehead City, NC (fished for a year), Wilmington, NC and Washington, DC. I was married for 37 years. After my divorce, at 75 I came to Florida.
I belong to the Lee Family of Virginia. I have a Lee family book for the period 900 to 1945. I have 2 sisters and a brother. In the Lee book, two brothers came to America in 1635 from England and settled in Virginia. One brother is my ancestor and the other brother is General Robert E Lee's ancestor. Two Lees signed the Declaration of Independence, Richard Henry Lee and Francis Lightfoot Lee, both from Virginia. I bought the book from my Aunt in Charlotte, NC in 1954. I digitized the book in 2006.
