I Would Describe Myself As
I am a handicapped woman. I use a wheelchair 24/7. I have been dealing with Multiple Sclerosis for the past 26 years. I live alone in a subsidized apartment. I do pretty well and I have many friends in the building. My biggest problem is I like movies on "the big screen" and no body here wants to go with me!
I also like to go to baseball, hockey and lacrosse games. Again the slugs I live with don't want to go. I can't even get anyone to
go to the zoo!
I am a friendly, fairly educated and somewhat interesting person. I have a quick and often sarcastic wit. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I have been on dating sites in the past and met some really wonderful men. We've even remained friends but they just couldn't cope with the MS. You see besides the wheelchair which is a new addition to my daily life in the last 18 months, I can get very tired so an afternoon nap a couple days a week is necessary.
IN spite of my declining health I am a happy person. I do feel God does not give us more then we can handle. I handle all my problems big and small with prayer and I know I get answers. Just ask me about how I came to live where I am. It was all because I asked God for help.
I'm not a regular church goer but I do go when I can. I had a wonderful friend (she passed away) across the hall and I started going to Methodist services with her. I enjoyed going and the people I met there were very warm and welcoming. The only problem I had was I (she) had to get to church first, I mean before anybody else. After a year I quit going.
I think this gives you a pretty fair overview of who I am. Ask me anything I am an open book.
